Calling All Super Heroes
I don’t know about you, but I find myself these days dreaming of spring. Getting outside in the sunshine and the dry pavement and going out for a run. Day dreaming as I look out of my window at the remaining snow on the ground. I really do love Michigan winters and all of the fun that we have skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. However, as March begins, I am already planning our spring activities.
If you are looking for ways to get outside and do a fun activity with your kids you have to get excited about the Super Run. This event is on Saturday, May 5th. It is in Detroit at the Wayne State University campus. They have fun activities for kids like face painting and bounce houses. They have live entertainment and food & drinks. If you want to bring the whole family you can bring your parents or anyone else that may not want to run, but will want to cheer on the runners at the finish line.
Best of all, you get to pick your own charity. This event is perfect for us at Higher Hopes! because if you have known us at all you know that we refer to all of our donors and volunteers as Heroes. This day you get to be a real Super Hero. They sell all kinds of fun Super Hero regalia to get you into the spirit. Or create your own Super Hero costume because dressing up is the most fun. Go to our Fundraise page here to learn more about this event. We hope to see you there!
